CINA Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct
PREAMBLE
Upholding high ethical and professional standards by all cryotherapy industry participants, from manufacturers and vendors to marketers and treatment providers, is paramount to public trust in cryotherapy and holistic wellness services.
The Cryo Industry Association’s Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct underpins the values of CINA – integrity, inclusion, and transparency – and is indispensable in ensuring CINA’s reputation, credibility, and authority and pivotal to its ability to promote industry development.
This document serves as a benchmark for assessing the ethics and professional conduct of industry professionals worldwide, irrespective of their roles, cultural contexts, or regional regulations. All CINA members must embrace and uphold the provisions of this Code and are encouraged to apprise their organizations of this responsibility.
Breaches of this Code may result in membership revocation, loss of acquired certifications, and withdrawal of the right to utilize CINA designations in any communication medium.
CODE OF ETHICS
CINA leadership, members, and partners must:
Act with integrity, competence, diligence, and respect. Uphold the highest ethical standards and demonstrate competence, diligence, and respect in all interactions with the public, clients, prospective clients, employers, employees, and fellow industry professionals.
Comply with all applicable laws. Understand and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards governing cryotherapy and holistic wellness services. Members must not participate in or assist in violating such laws, rules, or regulations and refrain from offering, soliciting, or accepting any gifts, benefits, or considerations that could compromise the objectivity of the regulators and oversight institutions.
Be truthful and honest in all communications. Avoid discrediting or misrepresenting any company, equipment, or service, making claims that cryotherapy or any other wellness treatment is a “cure” for any condition, or using the word “heal” unless the equipment in use is approved as a medical device and the overseeing authority (such as the Food and Drug Administration in the United States or the respective local counterpart) has cleared the treatment for a medical application.
Place the client's interests and integrity of the industry first. Prioritize clients’ welfare and integrity of the cryotherapy industry over immediate personal gains.
